Efficient fume extraction

During welding operation, fumes are released and inhaled by the welder or other persons in the surrounding area. These fume particles can be harmful to health above a certain concentration. In order to ensure optimum protection of the welder’s health and to minimise health risks, the use of powerful extraction systems is essential.

In order to optimally shield the welder from welding fumes, Fronius offers the new generation K4 Fume extraction torches, which fulfil our customer’s requirements. These products meet the highest quality demands and guarantee long-term commitment.

Welding fumes are directly extracted at their source (weld seam) and all employees in the entire plant are therefore protected against toxic vapours and ultra-fine dust particles, which settle in the alveoli in the lungs.

 

The Fronius K4 extraction torch is available as gas-cooled (MTG 400i K4) and also as water-cooled version (MTW 500i K4), moreover as Standard variant and also with UpDown operation. Hose pack length amounts to 4.5m each.
The standard version includes an additional air regulator on the welding torch, where one can set the absorbed volume of air. The extraction performance is adjusted by using the additional air regulator. In order to prevent an unintended extraction of protective gas (e.g. during out-of-position welding), the additional air regulator can be opened. Thereby, the extraction channel inside the torch is narrowed, additional air is drawn in and the extraction performance is reduced.

 

Not only does the K4 Welding torch pair perfectly to your existing Fronius TPS/i or TransSteel Power-source with FSC connection, but also available to suit the older generation TPS machines with Up/Down remote function.
K4 torches are now available with standard Euro torch connection to suit most common brands of  MIG/MAG welding equipment.

MHP 280i PULLMIG

MHP 280i G PullMIG Torch

Gas-cooled MIG/MAG manual welding torch with an output of up to 280 A. It is also equipped with a wire-feeder, providing advantages due to the extremely precise wire-feeding, particularly for aluminium applications.

The PullMig welding torch from Fronius weighs only around a third as much as comparable models. The design is so compact that there is hardly any noticeable difference in size from conventional, manual welding torches – yet the torch delivers unrivalled precision. The Multi-Lock torch body, which can be rotated through 360°, serves as the base of the torch, with a stainless steel outer pipe.

TPS PullMIG

Old generation PullMIG and PullMIG ‘ERGO’

The perfect partner for any of the Fronius TransPuls Synergic range of machines when using difficult to feed wires.

Gas and water-cooled high grade Push/Pull welding torches used extensively in Aluminium fabrication or wherever long hose-packs of up to 10m are required.

Suitable for a welding current up to max. 400 A with gas cooling and 500 A with water cooling. Various angled Multi-Lock necks for ease of use in all positions.
