Avesta 2205 Duplex Electrodes

Avesta 2205 Duplex Electrodes

Covered electrode, high-alloyed, duplex stainless.

Primarily designed for welding 22Cr duplex stainless steels used in offshore, shipyards, chemical tankers, chemical/petrochemical, pulp & paper, etc. Avesta 2205 is an all-position electrode of E2209-17 type. The weld metal has very good resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking in chloride containing environments. PREN >35.Duplex alloys have good weldability, but the welding procedure should be adapted to the base material considering fluidity, joint design, heat input, etc

  • Spec: AWS: A5.4 E2209-17
  • Electrode Diameter: 2.5mm, 3.2mm
  • Approvals: TÜV (07139.), DB (30.014.20), Certified by CWB to CSA W48, CE

BÖhler FOX FFB-A – E310-17

BÖhler FOX FFB-A E310 Electrodes

Stick electrode, high-alloyed, stainless, heat resistant.

Rutile electrode, core wire alloyed for analogous, heat resisting rolled steels e.g. in annealing shops, hardening shops, steam boiler construction, the crude oil industry and the ceramics industry. In weld joints exposed to sulphurous gases the final layer has to be deposited by means of FOX FA. Smooth beads and easy slag removal. Scaling resistance up to +1200 °C. The temperature range between +650 and +900 °C should be avoided owing to the risk of embrittlement. Thick-walled welds to be carried out by means of the basic electrode FOX FFB

  • Spec: AWS: A5.4 E310-16
  • Electrode Diameter: 2.5mm, 3.2mm
  • Approvals: Statoil, CE

Avesta 309L Stainless Steel

Avesta 309L Electrodes

Rutile stick electrode high-alloyed, chemical resistant.

Avesta 309L is a high-alloy low carbon electrode designed for welding dissimilar joints between stainless and mild or low-alloy steels. The electrode is well suited as a buffer layer when overlay welding on mild steels, providing an 18Cr 8 Ni deposit from the first layer.Avesta 309L can also be used for welding some high temperature steels, such as 1.4833/ASTM309S.

Corrosion resistance:Superior to 308L. When used for overlay welding on mild steel a corrosion resistance equivalent tothat of 1.4301/ASTM 304 is obtained already in the first layer.

  • Spec: AWS: A5.4 E309L-17
  • Electrode Diameter: 2.5mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm
  • Approvals: TÜV (03023.), DB (30.014.19), DNV, CWB

Avesta 316L/SKR Stainless Steel Electrodes

Avesta 316L/SKR Electrodes

High-alloyed, austenitic stainless steel electrode

Avesta 316L/SKR is a low carbon core wire alloyed Cr-Ni-Mo electrode for welding of 1.4436/ASTM 316 type stainless steels.
The core wire alloyed concept ensures constant corrosion properties.
Excellent resistance to general, pitting and intergranular corrosion in chloride containing environments. Intended for severe conditions, e.g. in dilute hot acids.

  • Spec: AWS: A5.4 E316L-17
  • Electrode Diameter: 2.5mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm
  • Approvals: TÜV (1073.), DB(30.014.18), DNV GL
