General purpose cast iron electrode for machinable welds.

CasTec 3099 electrodes are graphite coated and deposit a nickel alloy with exceptional ductility, high tensile strength and good machinability even with a file. The deposits are dense, crack free and base metal dilution is minimised.
The FrigidArc coating enhances the arc characteristics, making CasTec 3099 a very easy electrode to use. The arc is smooth and stable regardless of the length of the arc gap, it welds in any position including overhead. Burn-off is uniform, wash characteristics and fluidity excellent. It produces a flat, even and finely rippled bead.
Use for joining, coating, building up missing sections, and filling cracks and pores.

Ultimium N112

Ultimium N112

Tungsten carbide AC-DC MMA electrode for super hard protective wear coatings.

The electrode consists of three concentric sections: a solid tungsten carbide inner core; a highly conductive alloy sheath; and an outer “Frigid Arc” coating that contains chromium and vanadium.

As a result of this the advanced alloy system, N112 weld protective coatings represents in uniform hardness and abrasion-resistance. It deposits an overlay of homogeneous tungsten carbide, reinforced by the addition of secondary carbide-forming elements in the coating. Weld metal transfer characteristics are smooth giving the welder exceptional control of the deposit. Not only is the hardness exceptionally high but it is also uniform as well. Absence of uneven aggregates of carbide particles permits grinding to a mirror finish, resulting in deposits with an exceptionally low coefficient of friction.

Low-heat electrode for repair & joining of wrought aluminium alloys.

Corrosion resistant for marine and industrial environments. Deposits can be anodised or electroplated.

Applications:

Road transport vehicles, truck bodies, panel wings, frames, tankers, buses, railway rolling stock, wagons, marine fittings & most aluminium castings.

Base metals:

XHD2100 is particularly recommended for the following non heat treatable wrought aluminium alloys. Aluminium (Al99 commercially pure), aluminium manganese alloys, aluminium magnesium alloys (up to 3%Mg) aluminium manganese-magnesium alloys.

Low-heat input electrode for cast irons.

Xuper 2240 is excellent not only for welding all types of cast iron, but also cast iron-to-steel. It can be used for joining, as well as for overlaying, build ups and repairing defects. 2240 is suitable for all types of sections – thick, medium and thin – and for joining thick-to-thin sections.

Xuper 2240 deposits are readily machineable and is very easy to use. The alloy transfers in a smooth spray type action and has excellent wash and fluidity. The arc is stable, with no undercutting and excessive spatter and fuming is
minimal. Moreover, the weld deposits have smooth appearance and have a good colour match to cast iron

Xuper 680CGS is a highly alloyed special manual electrode giving very high strength joints with excellent resistance to cracking, corrosion and oxidation.
